Orenburg region state symbols

Every county has such state symbols as its State Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem.

Each subject of the Russian Federation has its own state symbols, and Orenburg is not an exception. The first Coat of Arms of the Orenburg province was approved by the emperor Alexander II on October 12, 1867.

The modern Coat of Arms is the official symbol of the Orenburg region, which was approved on December 23, 1996. The official Coat of Arms of the city, based on the historical one, was approved on March 26, 1998 by the City Council.

The National Flags of the Orenburg region and the city of Orenburg are their official state symbols.

The other state symbol of the city is its Anthem “Live, Orenburg” which was created by David Tukhmanov – People's Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of the RSFSR and Yuri Entin – poet, playwright.
